Can a construction contractor hiring a subcontractor to execute your project as a whole?

The main contractor is awarded the contract for a construction project, which could then get another contractor to run the project, which basically amounts to sub-contracting works everything?

Yes, as unethical as it sounds .. provided that the work is done with the specifications and the price is rising because of it .. not really matter. will be held the prime contractor 100% responsible for all the work anyway, and any necessary guarantees come from the prime contractor.
