Can carbon fiber be used on a car during the winter time?
I live in Massachusetts and was thinking about putting carbon fiber parts on my car. I was told by someone that I would not be able to keep the carbon fiber parts on my car during the winter. I was wondering if this was true or false.
The strength properties of carbon fiber will not change with the temperature range of the weather.
The epoxy that encapsulates the carbon fiber may become slightly more brittle at low temperatures, but it would have to really really cheap epoxy. Even standard fiberglass resin can handle below freezing temperatures.
