Copper Sweat
Is there such a thing as a 3/4" T-valve for copper water lines?
A normal 3/4" brass water ball valve simply turns water through a line on and off. I want to sweat a T into my copper pipes with a valve that will only allow water to flow into one of the two sides of the T at a time. I.e., picture a pipe coming into the left of the "T" that I want to feed either the right pipe or the bottom pipe, but never both at the same time. Is there copper-compatible valve that does this? If so what is it called or where can I buy it? If not is there any code-compliant way of plumbing something to do what I described?
Just to clarify: Putting a separate on/off valve on each end of the T isn't what I'm looking for. I want to ensure that if water is flowing to one side it CANNOT flow to the other at the same time. I don't want to depend on the user to ensure that pressure never flows to both sides simultaneously.
