i have a 1978 gmc van the brake lights wont work the fuse is good the bulb is good any suggestions?

Check the brake Light Switch. It is probably located on the brake master cylinder or on the pushrod where it is attached to the brake pedal. Other than that, you will have to trace the wiring harness to look for a loose connection. One other place to look would be to make sure that the brake light is properly grounded.
