Mouldings separation from the ground?

In my view, the molding is intended to cover or hide, at least, the same space between the wall and floor. The contractors who renovated our apartment about five years, however, must have made the job a little random, and there is now a 1 / 4 - Space 1 / 2 inch between the molding and floor throughout the apartment. My question is: Would it be wise to seal the gap (and how) or to completely remove the mold and repeat application (and how)? Thanks in advance. Thanks for the correction. I was thinking about the crown molding for some reason, when I wrote the title, and he realized too late.

Sounds like you might have a problem Foundation. I would get it checked out.
