Where can I find an easy way to do on the blue print of a floor in AutoCAD?

I leave my living space basement and the wall around my water heater and do laundry when the washer and dryer is that you want to use AutoCAD to design the ground floor So before you put hammer to nail know exactly what I do, including a good estimate of how much wood I need. Does anyone know of a Autocad tutorial that meets these needs? It would be nice to make a 3D drawing of the entire volume of the basement. Thank you.

Enter 0 to 8 for the elevation and thickness. Then measure the room dimensions and sketches in a notebook. You'd better use feet or meters on the measurement. It Entry is easy.
