2004 VW Jetta over 80,000 miles. The front wheel right of making sand-grinding sound, sounds like metal on metal.
Very serious. Most likely your brake pads are worn, but it could also be a wheel bearing. You need to check and soon. If it is worn brake pads at this time, you will also need a new front brake rotor if not both and if a wheel bearing it could leave you stranded on the road so it would be better to have it checked ASAP.
