Saturday, February 12th, 2011How can I cut the floor tiles in granite?
I have tiled many times before, but not with granite. I have a tile cutter diamond blade, and the usual tile snapper. My "power glide 'snapper does not mention that I can granite tiles snap with it, so how then I cut to size granite tiles? Do I put each tile, the tile cutter electric, will not risk the edges of tiles scratched? So do I obtain a special glue for granite tiles (other than normal wood glue on the floor) to paste?
You can use the tile diamond blade, but to avoid chips use very slowly with plenty of water and if possble with the tiles upside down. As for fixing the tiles on the floor you need a stone suitable adhesive and follow the instructions that some of the more porous granites shows the color of the adhesive through them and so therefore may need sealing beforehand.
